ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS
These workshops have achieved an excellent reputation as a research-based systematised clinical training program in the role and clinical application of Nutrition Medicine to maintain health and remediate disease.
The workshops are designed for medical and other primary healthcare practitioners to enhance clinical knowledge and skills in utilising diet and nutrient therapy in daily practice.
Prior attendees have thoroughly appreciated the systematised training format, scientific depth and clinical focus of these workshops, and many participants return several times to glean further detail of the science and clinical skills presented.

MASTER OF NUTRITION MEDICINE DEGREE PROGRAM
WHAT’S HAPPENING
As many of you know, following the RMIT University Governance Board decision to cease all external service providers, ACHM’s master’s degree program is now being concluded, and we are “teaching out” the remaining 20 students of the original 60 students that enrolled.
In the past year, we have held discussions with several Australian universities regards placement of the program into their postgraduate curriculum.
Currently, two universities have expressed an interest in hosting the degree program. One university is particularly appreciative of the academic level and integrity of the program - not surprising given that the course materials have been previously accredited with both UNE (Armidale) and RMIT University (Melbourne). In depth discussions are proceeding with this university and the current degree program is undergoing remodelling to expand into two flexible and integrated master degree programs:
- Master of Nutrition Medicine (Clinical) and
- Master of Nutrition Medicine (Research)
We are excited by this course evolution and, though no final agreements have yet been reached, discussions are proceeding well, albeit slowly.
We are unable to name an exact starting date, but have requested a mid-2010 launch, because of the large number of students awaiting enrolment.
Anyway, that’s all the news we can publicise for now - we do have further exciting developments in the pipeline - but those belong to a future newsletter.
We wish you all a happy and adventitious 2010.
Regards and best wishes,
Caroline & Mel
