Master of Nutrition Medicine Program
The Master of Nutrition Medicine program aims to provide health practitioners with the opportunity to gain the scientific knowledge and clinical expertise required to manage patient's nutritional health problems in a comprehensive and integrated manner, consistent with the current evidence of medical and nutritional research.This requires the knowledge and the ability to:
- Perform a comprehensive Nutrition Medicine assessment of patients' nutritional requirements according to their individual dietary sensitivities and nutrient needs; and
- Formulate and implement scientifically based effective dietary / nutritional regimens, individualised to the patient's needs, in the treatment of common diseases
Who can Apply
Entry into the Master of Nutrition Medicine program requires successful completion of the Graduate Diploma in Nutrition Medicine program.Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma in Nutrition Medicine programs
To be admitted into these programs, an applicant must be a health-care practitioner who:
- holds an undergraduate university degree relevant to the award and approved by the Faculty Board -OR-
- is a Healthcare Practitioner who can demonstrate other qualifications and/or relevant experience that adequately prepares them for candidature.

Entry into this program will be automatically available to graduates with the following qualifications or their equivalents, awarded by government-accredited universities:
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery
- Bachelor of Nursing -OR- Registered Nurse qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy
- Bachelor of Health Sciences (Naturopathy)
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Nutrition or Dietetics)
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy
- Bachelor of Dental Science
- Doctor of Chiropractic

Primary health-care practitioners with diploma-level qualifications from professionally accredited private education colleges and a minimum of 5 years in active clinical practice may also be eligible for entry into the program, subject to approval by the duly constituted Program Admissions Committee. NB: The Graduate Diploma in Nutrition Medicine program was designed to provide experienced, registered natural health practitioners, who have appropriate basic sciences training, the opportunity to achieve postgraduate university qualifications in Nutrition Medicine. Thus, we welcome applications from experienced health care professionals who have acquired the clinical practice expertise required to successfully complete the graduate diploma award and gain entry into the master's degree program.

Graduates with other qualifications may also be eligible for admission into this program, subject to completion of appropriate bridging courses that include the study of Anatomy & Physiology, Biochemistry and Pathology or Disease States. Examples of such graduates are:
- Bachelor of Food Science or its equivalent
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
- Bachelor of Psychology
