Bridging Courses

Formal tertiary level study in the Basic Sciences is required to enrol in the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma programs in Nutrition Medicine.  All applicants will need to demonstrate that they have successfully completed tertiary level studies in:

1. Anatomy and Physiology
2. Biochemistry
3. Clinical Disease States and Pathology

Students who have not completed undergraduate study in these areas will be required to undertake bridging courses to bring their "basic science" knowledge up to the requisite level to enter the Nutrition Medicine programs.

Applicants who are full time practitioners may prefer to undertake the bridging units by distance education rather than on campus, though either mode of teaching is acceptable.

Bridging units in all these areas are commonly available as undergraduate units, usually in the Health Science programs of many tertiary level institutions.

These institutions include RMIT, UNE, Charles Sturt University, the Australian College of Natural Medicine, Health Schools Australia, Canterbury College of Natural Medicine and others.

For further information about entrance into these programs please contact the appropriate tertiary institutions in your state.  If you are required to undertake bridging units please contact: info@nutritionmedicine.org
